A discovery well drilled in a crestal position logged gas. Question was posed whether there is a downdip oil rim. Its existence or non-existence would demand different development scenarios. Gassman modeling was used to estimate wet and oil responses of the reservoir and a 2D model was built. It shows that a downdip oil rim,  at whatever thickness, would be practically undetectable from the updip gas.
