Gravity map over a salt dome onshore Louisiana.  Blues are gravoty lows, red and greens are highs. Salt is demonstrated as a pronounced low gravity anomaly in the middle of the map. The magnitude of the low is proportional to the depth and thickness of the salt. This gravity map was used in gravity inversion to define the approximate base of the salt,  whoshc aided during PSDM processing.
